Welcome to Celestial Paws Kennels. We are a small hobby kennel owned by several quality AKC Siberian Huskies and located in Fowler, Indiana. We are located in the country on 2 acres where our dogs have room to run and play. Each puppy is raised from birth with our five children and socialized daily. We believe that the bond between people and dogs can be incredible and that dogs are a good means of free therapy as they brighten your day even in the darkest times!
Our huskies are a huge part of our family. They live both inside and outside our home. We have large kennel areas outside where they can romp and play. They are each given individual time daily for out of kennel time where they are brushed and groomed daily. We have an excellent veterinarian who provides exceptional care for all of them. Their health is extremely important to us and most of our dogs have had their OFA and CERF testing done and cleared. Deworming is started at 2 weeks of age and continued biweekly as recommended by American Association of Veterinary Parasitologists (AAVP), the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and the Companion Animal Parasite Council (CAPC). All pups are given their age appropriate vaccines.
We breed our huskies not only for temperament but to better the breed. We do not breed for eye color, coat color, or for quantity. Siberian Huskies can have a variety of eye colors that are accepted by the AKC. A lot of consideration and study goes into each potential breeding. Our females whelp their puppies in our home. The first eight weeks of a puppy's life are critical for physical, neurological and emotional growth. We ensure this to the best of our ability by monitoring the mother and pups during this period. We concentrate on producing well socialized, confident healthy puppies through the use of bio sensor exercises and socialization that starts at three days of age and continues until our puppies leave our home.
Our adult dogs are fed a mixture of commercial dog food and a raw diet. I have put a lot of time into studying the raw diet and I was astounded to learn how much healthier this is for a dogs physical and dental health. It is amazing how much more the dogs enjoy a raw diet and how much healthier they look and feel. Puppies are started off on puppy chow to ease the transition from mothers milk to solid foods.
We ask that if you've never owned a Siberian husky, please research the breed before deciding to buy a puppy. They are a very energetic, extremely intelligent dog. They are amazing escape artists. It is important that you have a fenced area that can safely protect them. If a husky does get loose, it is their instinct to run for miles. They are also incredibly social animals and enjoy the company of a pack. Once you own a Siberian Husky, the potato chip syndrome tends to kick in and you discover yourself wanting more.
All of our puppies are AKC registered and only sold to approved homes. They will be up to date on all their puppy shots and worming and you will receive these records in your new puppy pack. We do give a 2 year genetic health defect guarantee and offer continual support through the life of your new puppy. Please don't be offended by all of the questions we ask you in regards to your home environment and your lifestyle. We ask these questions because it is extremely important to us that all of our puppies go to good homes, where they will be loved and cared for as they are used to here.
